BOTTMINGER BANK

Bench in public space of the municipality Bottmingen (CH)
The Bottminger bench is made of larch and limestone as a supporting side element. The limestone is quarried and processed in the ultra-modern natural stone works of Gebr. Thomann AG. in Liesberg. The surface of the stone, similar to the fountains in Bottmingen, was needled in the style of the craftsman’s workshop. The galvanized steel frame is fitted with red oiled larch. The processing of the Swiss larch and the steel work are carried out by Burri Public Elements AG in Opfikon, a specialist when it comes to public facilities. The combination of the local limestone and the red-colored wood “red and stone” transforms the bench into an “eye-catcher” with a long-distance effect and the potential to linger.
